What's that smell?
Seems like more than a few of you have been weirded out by different odours that either come from your flatmates, or their rooms....
Andrew from Australia writes "My story isn't about sleeping with a flatmate but a friends flatmate used to have a boyfriend over on a regular basis and if you walked past her bedroom you could smell "sex" coming from the room the next day."
Gillian from Glasgow sent this smelly story, "My flatmate in 1st year at uni used to get up at odd times, never seemed to go to uni, but was hardly ever in. She didn't like to talk to us and when she did it was always forced chat. She didn't really have any smell, but her bedroom was on the end of the hall and stank to the high heavens of feet and odour. I don't think never opening her window helped her much. Her friends were a bit odd as well, but not quite to the same extent.
Have you ever lived with a stinky flatmate. What was the smell and what did you do about it? Leave a comment or send it in!

I lived with a flatmate who was covered by thick body hair all over. This bloke had showers (we found the hair in the shower to prove it) but he always had the worst case of body odour. It was enough to make you retch!

I shared with a guy who's body odour was so bad his freshly washed clothes still stunk and when his wardrobe was open you couldnt even go near his room. He did used to shower but I think he was saving money on personel hygene products.

I had a filthy roommate at Sunshine Coast. He used to work in construction and would make baloney and onion sandwiches in the morning for his lunch at work. The onion slices would be 2cm wide and he'd use a whole, large onion every day. F**k he stunk!
I'd be in my room studying and the stench from his bedroom would creep out from under his door like a ghoul, meandering down the hallway, sneaking under my door and up behind me to assault my olfactorys with the reeking mingled odors of feet stink, stale sweat and onion fart.
I had asked him (and the other roommate to ask him) to wash his sheets, to wash his clothes after work every day, to wash his slimy green feet under the tap downstairs, but he didn't give a rats' arse. He hadn't washed his sheets in the 4 months that he'd been there. They were stuck to the bed with sweat and grease from his skin.
Completely over it, I took his salad tongs and put all his unwashed clothes and his sheets and his pillow (which utterly reeked - it was wet and heavy with grime) in a garbage bag and threw them and the tongs into the wheelie bin. Then I went out for the night.
When he came home that night he asked the other roommate where his sheets and clothes were. he had no idea. Stinky Pig Fart had to put new sheets on his bed and buy new clothes for work.
Worst thing is, the bastard gave notice to move a week after I had arranged to move into another apartment.

Lived with this german guy who was studying and home on his computer pretty much all day every day. the stench was phenomenal, he showered only on the weekends (so he could go out and not horrify women he was trying to pick up), so for 5-6 days of the week he'd sit in his room with door and window closed, in the sydney summer heat, wearing polyester (and sleeping in polyester sheets that i only saw on the line once in 6 and a half months).
just before he moved out, i knockde on his door to ask him about something, when he opened it there was the appearance of a heat haze, from all the sweaty, moist air in the room, a tidal wave of skanky stink, my eyes started to water and i started to gag.
he shook his head at me and made a commnet about how australians were a sickly people.
